HESA reveal top 10 universities for graduate employment

The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) has revealed the top ten universities in the UK for graduate employment.

With the 2015 A-level pass rate standing at a record level of 98.1%, it’s time for students to choose which institution they would like to study at.

For those who are yet to make a decision, HESA has provided the top ten universities where graduates are most likely to land their very first professionals graduate role.

1. Royal College of Music, London – 100%

With a staggering graduate employment level of 100%, the Royal College of Music in London has witnessed the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber and James Horner graduate with them.

2. Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London – 99.1%

Known for its commitment not only to music but also contemporary dance, this university is the leader in the subject.

3. Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester – 98.2%

Many graduates from here have found themselves employed in agricultural, land, business management and food industries where they have thrived.

4. Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln – 98.1%

This university has been churning out successful graduates for over 150 years and has since refurbished its student accommodation buildings and doubled the size of its library.

5. University of Buckingham – 98.1%

With its traditional Oxbridge-style teaching, this university beat the likes of Oxford and Cambridge for its graduate employment rate. Along with a 95% student satisfaction rate, it’s no wonder this university is in fifth position.

6. Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow – 98%

Well known for having quite a few famous members to their alumni, including David Tenant and Alan Cumming.

7. Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester – 97.8%

Only 50 years old, this university has fast become a leading international institution with a reputation for attracting talented academics, students and professors from across the world.

8. Arts University Bournemouth, Poole – 97.4%

With an extensive library of 50,000 books on art, design and media, this university is also open to the public.

9. Courtauld Institute of Art, London – 97.3%

Famous for being the world’s leading centre for the study of the history and conservation of art and architecture, this university has an overall course satisfaction rate of 94%.

10. Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen – 97.2%

Known for its quality teaching and research, this university is located on one of the most beautiful campuses in the UK.
